Hyros and Triple Whale both install their own tracking, follow sales back to the ads that drove them, and send that data back to ad platforms. The overlap ends there. Triple Whale is an analytics platform for ecommerce brands, with dashboards, BI and an AI agent. Hyros is a tracking and attribution service sold to several kinds of business, from stores to coaching programs to companies that close deals on sales calls.

Facts below come from each vendor's pricing page and product pages on October 25, 2026, and from Hyros's Shopify install guide (last synced January 3, 2026). We rechecked Triple Whale's pricing on November 5.

Hyros

Price by quote

Tracking and attribution for long journeys: reorders, subscription rebills and sales closed on a call. Includes a setup team; priced on a call.

Triple Whale

Free plan, paid plans by quote

An analytics platform for ecommerce brands: attribution, dashboards, BI and Sonar. Start on the free plan; paid plans depend on annual GMV.

Pricing

Neither lists paid prices on its own site.

Hyros has one plan with everything included: the setup team, an "AI analyst", tracking and an MCP connection for Claude. Its FAQ says the price follows the revenue it tracks for you and is quoted on a setup call. Hyros also advertises a guarantee; in its own words, "if you're not satisfied, you don't pay". Its homepage adds that results are "measured on real sales, not platform-reported numbers", but neither page gives refund terms, so get them in writing.

Triple Whale has a free plan and three paid packages (Foundation, Automate, Enterprise). Its own pricing page shows no prices and says the price depends on annual GMV. On October 25 its Shopify App Store listing showed Foundation at $219.00 a month ($2,190.00 a year) and Automate at $749.00 a month ($7,490.00 a year). On November 5 that page said the app wasn't currently available, so we couldn't confirm those prices. Ask for a quote. Paid plans are 12-month subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly, and the yearly option gives two months free. If your revenue grows into a higher tier, Triple Whale says it moves you up and tells you in advance; on annual prepaid plans the tier is locked for the year.

Setup

Hyros pairs each customer with a setup team, which its pricing page lists as included. For Shopify, its documentation describes a one-click connection plus optional add-ons for apps such as Recharge (subscriptions), PayPal, PageFly and Zipify pages. You can import up to 365 days of past sales, which helps lifetime value reports, though imported sales have no ad source. Amazon sales can't be tracked, but Hyros tags them as coming from Amazon.

Triple Whale says most brands are set up in about 15 minutes without an engineer, and that the Triple Pixel takes less than 10 minutes to set up. You can book time with its implementation team. A dedicated customer success manager is listed for qualifying accounts, which the pricing page describes as brands with $10M+ GMV.

Attribution

Triple Whale lists eight attribution models on paid plans: Total Impact (which mixes pixel data with post-purchase survey answers), Clicks & Deterministic Views, Triple Attribution (each channel gets full credit for orders it touched, like ad platforms report), Triple Attribution + Platform Views, Linear All, Linear Paid, First Click and Last Click. The free plan has first and last click only.

Hyros describes its tracking as "AI Swarm Tracking", which joins first- and third-party data to each customer's touchpoints. Its ecommerce page says it focuses on delayed purchases, reorders and subscription rebills, and attributes them back to the ad that created the customer "for the life of the customer".

Our take: Hyros's pages are written around revenue that arrives weeks or months after the first click. Triple Whale's paid plans include all lookback windows too, so if rebills or reorders are a large share of revenue, ask both vendors to show how one is credited to the original ad.

Reporting and dashboards

Triple Whale lists more reporting features. Its paid plans include no-code dashboards, customer segments, custom metrics and a SQL editor, and its comparison table lists cohort, product and creative analysis and integrations with email, subscription, reviews, shipping and Amazon. Moby, its AI agent, answers questions about the data; on Automate it can also run scheduled tasks and make changes in ad accounts within limits you set.

Hyros says it is "not an analytics tool" and plugs into the analytics you already have. Its ecommerce page describes an extension that shows its attribution inside Meta's ads manager, and its plan includes a Claude MCP interface.

Sending data back to ad platforms

Both vendors send conversions back to ad platforms so their bidding works with more complete data.

  • Hyros sends the sales it attributes to Meta, Google and TikTok.
  • Triple Whale does this with Sonar Optimize, included in every paid plan. Sonar Send, also included, passes on-site behavior to email and SMS tools such as Klaviyo; Triple Whale says this lets existing flows reach more shoppers.

Which one to pick

Our take, based on what each vendor offers:

  • Pick Triple Whale if you want dashboards and BI in the same tool as attribution, or want to start on a free plan before paying.
  • Pick Hyros if revenue depends on long journeys (subscription rebills, repeat orders or sales that close on a call) and you want a setup team involved.
  • Run both if you already use Triple Whale for reporting and want Hyros's long-term attribution on top. Hyros lists Triple Whale as an integration.

Either way, check that your current pixels aren't sending duplicate or missing events before you install another one. The Triple Whale alternatives guide lists other options, and the Triple Whale guide covers its plans in more detail.

Common questions

Is Hyros cheaper than Triple Whale?

There's no way to tell from public pages. Hyros doesn't list a price; it quotes one on a setup call based on the revenue it tracks for you. Triple Whale has a free plan, and its own pricing page shows no paid prices and says they depend on annual GMV. On October 25 its Shopify App Store listing showed Foundation at $219.00 a month and Automate at $749.00, but we couldn't confirm those prices on November 5.

Can I use Hyros and Triple Whale together?

Yes. Hyros lists Triple Whale as one of its integrations and says it plugs into existing analytics instead of replacing them. Both install their own tracking, so each will report its own numbers.

Does Hyros work with Shopify?

Yes. Its Shopify integration is a one-click connection, with optional add-ons for apps such as Recharge, PageFly and Zipify. It can also import up to 365 days of past sales for lifetime value reports, without their original ad source.

Which one is better for subscription brands?

Hyros says it focuses on reorders and subscription rebills and has a Recharge add-on. Triple Whale integrates with subscription apps too and has cohort analysis on paid plans. If most revenue comes from rebills months after the first order, ask both vendors to show how a rebill is credited to the original ad.
